X-Ray Device Training

At the entrances of many places such as office complexes, hospitals, shopping centres, public buildings and event venues, bags and parcels are checked by passing them through an X-ray device. The X-ray device training at Çamlıca Private Security Training Institution is skill training for security personnel who work at these checkpoints or are preparing to do so. The aim is to train operators who read the screen image correctly and who stay calm and take the right step when something looks suspicious.

Skills Expected of an X-Ray Operator

An X-ray operator is generally expected to:

  • Know how the screen image is formed and interpret it correctly
  • Distinguish organic, inorganic and high-density materials from one another
  • Recognise dangerous or prohibited items such as cutting and piercing tools, firearms and their parts
  • Stay calm when an image looks suspicious and report the situation to a supervisor
  • Keep the queue orderly at peak hours and approach visitors appropriately

If You Do Not Yet Have a Private Security ID

X-ray device training is skill training; it does not lead to a private security ID card, nor does it replace basic or renewal training. For most candidates without an ID, the first step is basic training, which gives eligibility to sit the official private security exam and to apply for the ID card: unarmed basic training is 100 class hours and armed basic training is 120 class hours.
