Our Private Security Training Courses
Çamlıca Private Security Training Institute (Çamlıca Özel Güvenlik Eğitim Kurumu) offers different programmes for people entering the profession, officers renewing their ID card and security staff already on duty. The summary below makes it easy to choose the course that suits you.
Which course is right for you?
- If you are entering the profession for the first time: Armed Private Security Basic Training (120 class hours) or Unarmed Private Security Basic Training (100 class hours). Basic training is a prerequisite for sitting the official private security exam and applying for the ID card.
- If you hold an unarmed ID card and want to work armed: Firearm (Conversion) Training. Armed duty requires graduation from at least high school or an equivalent school.
- If your ID card is about to expire: Armed Renewal Training or Unarmed Renewal Training. You need this training to renew your ID card.
- If you will work in a specific field: field trainings in private security management, close protection, alarm monitoring, cash-in-transit, transport security, and event and sports security.
- If you are already on duty: In-Service Firearms Training to help armed personnel keep their shooting skills current, plus X-Ray Device Training and CCTV Camera Monitoring Training as skills training for security staff.

Main requirements to become a private security officer
The main requirements under Article 10 of Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services are:
- Be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye
- Be at least 18 years old
- For unarmed duty, have completed at least eight-year primary education (ilköğretim) or lower secondary school (ortaokul); for armed duty, have graduated from at least high school or an equivalent school
- Have no physical or mental illness or disability that could prevent you from carrying out the duty
- Have no conviction for the offences listed in the law, and have a positive security investigation result

ID card and fees
The private security ID card is valid for 5 years; we recommend planning your renewal training before your card expires.
Official 2026 fees paid when applying for the ID card:
- Private security ID card fee: 550 TL (first application and renewal)
- Private security licence fee (ruhsat harcı): 8,568 TL (first application after basic training; not paid when renewing)
