Armed Conversion (Firearms) Training

Training for officers who already hold an unarmed private security ID card and wish to move to armed duty. Candidates who have completed unarmed basic training can move to armed status by taking only the firearms knowledge and shooting training that makes up the difference.

Who Can Attend?

• Holders of a valid unarmed private security ID card
• Those who meet the requirements for armed duty (high school graduation, etc.)

Course Content

• Firearms knowledge and parts of the weapon
• Weapon maintenance and safe carriage rules
• Shooting techniques and shooting range safety rules
• Relevant legislation (Law No. 6136 and related regulations)

Examination and Certification

Candidates who complete the conversion training sit the written firearms examination and the practical shooting test. Those who pass move to an armed private security ID card.
