Unarmed Private Security Basic Training
If you want to work as a private security officer without carrying a firearm, your first step is unarmed basic training. Candidates who complete this training at Çamlıca Private Security Training Institution can sit the official private security exam, and those who pass can apply for the private security ID card.
Who Can Apply?
The main conditions required under Article 10 of Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services are:
- Being a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye
- Being at least 18 years old
- Having completed at least eight-year primary education or lower secondary school (ortaokul) for unarmed duty, or at least high school or an equivalent school for armed duty
- Having no physical or mental illness or disability that could prevent performing the duty
- Having no conviction for the offences listed in the law
- A positive result from the security investigation

Training, Exam and ID Card
Unarmed basic training totals 100 class hours. Armed private security basic training, intended for candidates who want to work armed, is 120 class hours. Call us for current exam, registration and programme details. You can find general information about the exam on our Exams page.
After passing the exam, you can find out how to apply for your ID card on our e-Devlet application and in-person application pages. The private security ID card is valid for 5 years. To be able to renew your card, you need to complete unarmed renewal training; to avoid a break in your work, we recommend planning it before your card expires.

In addition to the course fee, there are official payments made to the state. For 2026, the main ones are the private security ID card fee of 550 TL and the private security licence fee (ruhsat harcı) of 8,568 TL. Call us to find out which official payments apply to your application.
